There is nothing more fulfilling than a successful salon career. Experienced professionals can set their own schedule, make great money and love going to work every day! It takes a lot of hard work to build your client base. GS HAIR creates a blueprint for success that you can follow. We give a lot and expect a lot at GS HAIR. We hire the smile and train the skill. So attitude means everything to us.
INTERNS We hire most of our stylists directly from our pool of interns. Only by working side-by-side with you, can we determine if we make a great team. Interns dedicate one day a week working directly with GS HAIR Owner and Vidal Sassoon Alumnus, Greg Saumure. Internships are unpaid. You receive free, one-on-one training in exchange for assisting. In addition, we provide a training class every Tuesday night so you can further practice and refine your skills. As an additional benefit, interns are allowed full use of the salon floor -the other 4 days a week to book thier clients. Intern use of the salon floor is free of charge. It’s a great way to receive one-on-one assistance, additional training and begin building your client base. Keeping 100% of what you earn, 4 days a week. Competition for the intern program is fierce and we only accept the best.
STYLISTS Stylists are chosen for the floor based on their skill level. The path from Intern to Stylist is very fast for some, longer for others. We are a commission-based salon. You can progress from Stylist to Renter on our floor, without having to change salons and loose your client base.
BOOTH RENTERS A portion of our styling floor is reserved especially for booth renters. You pay a flat rate and enjoy all the benefits of an established salon with an excellent reputation. We offer full-time reception. Beverage Service for your clients. Towel Service and Professional Cleaning. We provide salon Print Advertising. We also have various Social Media outlets we have contracts with such as Yelp and Facebook. You will have access to template advertising. We have a full-time marketing department that will write a Biography for you. Unknown Booth Renters may be required to Cut Test. We do not offer part-time booth rentals.
The Cut Test.
We have people who want to work for us and never show up to the interview for fear of ‘The Cut Test’. We want to know exactly where your skills are. We want to make sure the quality of service we provide is the very best. Our cut test ensures we know exactly where your skill set lies, and where you need training, education and improvement. Don’t be afraid of the Cut Test. Remember, we hire the smile, train the skill. Attitude is everything.

CURRENT JOB OPENINGS
Booth Rental Stylist – Rental stations available for those at the top of their career. You enjoy the full support of a top Sacramento Salon. You also have access to free and unlimited advertising and marketing services. We do not offer part-time booth rentals at this time.
Intern Stylist – Must be fully licensed and meet all GS HAIR requirements. We only hire Commission Stylists from our Intern Pool.
