Meet The GS HAIR Professional Styling Team
Named for Owner/Master Stylist and Vidal Sassoon Alumnus, Greg Saumure, GS HAIR was opened by the Saumure family in 2006. We wanted exemplary customer service (The Nordstrom Way), and Sacramento’s Best Professional Styling Team. Many spoke of this philosophy, but few were successful.
We began a screening process we call ‘The Cut Test’ . Potential team members who share our philosophy, are tested on the 5 basic haircuts; the bob, the graduated bob, the short layer, the long layer and the firefly. Most styles are variations on these basic cuts. In addition we test them on their color work. Brunettes, platinum blondes and color correction is all carefully scrutinized. If stylists show great potential, but are needing help in a few areas, they are offered an intern position at GS HAIR. Greg has taught class every Tuesday night since 2007. Giving them time to learn, practice and grow as professionals before being invited to the salon floor.
The benefit to our loyal clients? We want you to always look your best at an affordable price. We wouldn’t put you in a chair, we wouldn’t sit in ourselves. And we don’t just ‘rent’ space.
